The Spanish Alberto Ginés, to the semifinals of the Climbing World Cup

The Olympic champion wants to also be a world champion

MADRID, 3 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish Alberto Ginés, Olympic climbing champion, qualified this Thursday for the semifinals of the World Cup that is taking place in Bern (Switzerland).

Ginés was ninth in difficulty with a time of 5.48 (37 and 31, in each round) and will be in the semifinals next Sunday. In addition, the man from Cáceres was thirtieth in blocks.

After being gold at the Tokyo 2020 Games, Ginés’s main goal is to be world champion, with the option of also sealing his ticket for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
