The signings, vital in the four triumphs of this season

Quique Cárcel can breathe easy. The task of the Girona sports director last summer was not easy because he had to lighten the squad to adapt to the new salary limit and find players in the market so that Francisco could line up a competitive team day after day. After seven games played, the balance is four wins and three losses and the signings are fueled. Its adaptation and performance have been immediate and, for now, all the goals bear the signatures of newcomers: Mamadou Sylla is the rojiblanco top scorer with three goals and followed by Monchu and Franquesa, with one.

It has not been an easy start to the League for Girona because with hardly any preseason they had to compete again. The summer was busy with casualties and until the last minute of the market pieces that are currently being vital could not arrive. And the great example is that of Mamadou Sylla. He signed when the term expired to be free after rescinding with Gent. And from the start it performed perfectly and accumulates three goals and an assist in the five games he has played. But he is not the only newcomer who is contributing. Because Monchu made his debut as a scorer against Oviedo and gave the victory to his team (1-0). And the same happened with Enric Franquesa. The player on loan from Villarreal scored the 0-1 in Castellón that gave them all three points. In this way, the signings, with their goals, have already given Girona nine of its 12 points.

Francisco is very much to blame for having already obtained the maximum performance from the newcomers. The coach has known how to hit the key and is giving Girona what it needs to be a competitive team in the Second Division. From the club they are delighted with him and the team flies. Has won four of the last five games, the focus is once again on the promotion playoff to First Division, and everything has been achieved without Stuani. The Uruguayan has not been present in any of the victories of this course because of some problems in his knee. It is expected soon, it is a luxury for Second, but for now it is not being missed excessively because the 'new' are pulling the car.
