MADRID, 23 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The sixth edition of the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon, which will take place on April 1 in its three marathon distances, 22K and 12K, is close, with 43 percent, to half the participation of women, the organizers report in a statement .
During 2023 the organization has promoted the #MujeresRunnersIbiza initiative, where four athletes lead a campaign based on the common objective of helping real women meet their sporting challenges.
The promotion of female participation through actions on social networks, training plans or talks has resulted in one of the highest figures in Spain, with that 43 percent registered between the marathon, the 22K and the 12K.
The collective ‘Juntas Es Mejor’, the content creator ‘Corro y Soy Mujer’ and the athlete ‘Go Miriam’ will lead diverse groups with different objectives, in order to turn the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon into one of the most equitable events in gender level of the national calendar.
Registration is still open at the link https://ibizamarathon.com/inscripcion-marathon/, with a price change for the three distances as of February 28.
