The RFEF will return the money for the tickets to the fans who entered La Cartuja late

MADRID, 16 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has announced that it will return “the full amount” of the tickets to the fans who entered last Sunday at the Cartuja Stadium, where the Spain-Sweden was played, after the first quarter of an hour of game due to incidents at the access doors, in addition to confirming that said fans will enjoy free entry for the two matches that the women’s team will play in the same venue against the Faroe Islands and Scotland, qualifying for the 2023 World Cup.

“The RFEF and the Cartuja Stadium undertake to return the full amount of the tickets to all those fans who entered the stadium after the first fifteen minutes from the start of the match,” reported the federative body.

The RFEF explained that the “total renovation of the access systems” and the entry ratios that UEFA demanded for the last European Championship – in which Seville was one of the venues – caused these “waiting times longer than desired”.

“This affected approximately 3,000 spectators who were digitally accredited after 9:00 p.m., which represents slightly more than 5% of the total tickets issued. Despite the fact that almost 95% of the public was at that time inside the stadium , each fan counts, so a work team has been created to resolve this matter for future matches, “he said.

In addition to the reimbursement, the RFEF has planned that these fans will have a free ticket for each of the two qualifying matches for the 2023 World Cup that the women’s senior team will play in La Cartuja on November 25 and 30 against the Faroe Islands and Scotland.

“Both the RFEF and the Estadio de la Cartuja regret what happened and reiterate their gratitude to the Spanish fans for the unconditional support of our team,” he said. The refund request can be claimed until Friday at 5:00 p.m. through the email tickets@rfef.es.
