The RFEF will broadcast the national team matches for the blind

MADRID, 29 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) will launch, for the first time, the retransmission of the matches of the Spanish team for people with visual impairment, in the match between Luis Enrique’s men and Iceland at the Riazor Stadium.

This initiative, which aims to advance social responsibility through the integration and inclusion of all people, will mean that blind people or people with visibility problems who attend the meeting can fully enjoy it, with a detailed narration of what happens in the field, thanks to the Escoita application.

This platform for broadcasting audio in real time of the sporting event receives the narration of various specialists present at the stadium. People who opt for this possibility only have to access the ‘app’ and in it they will be able to listen to it live, sharing the atmosphere of the stadium.

This first pilot experience aims to test the proper functioning of the application in the match against Iceland that will be played at Riazor, an initiative that is intended to be extended to the rest of the international matches.

“The Royal Spanish Football Federation is committed to this awareness, as is also shown by the agreement signed with the ONCE Foundation, which is allowing people with disabilities to be the volunteers who support the RFEF in organizing matches”, noted the statement issued by the RFEF.
