MADRID, 18 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has installed the ‘bench for the best’, a space decorated with the Spanish team and characters from the ‘Lingokids’ application in the pediatric oncology rooms of the La Paz University Hospital in Madrid.
Both entities will collaborate to distract those who have to wait for long hours in these rooms thanks to the installation of ten tablets, with more than 1,200 contents including videos, songs and Lingokids games, and to rest on ‘gamer’ chairs with the colors of the selection.
In this way, the RFEF, within its commitment to Social Responsibility and Sustainability, wants to “offer the best of sport to the boys and girls who undergo these treatments at the national reference hospital in these matters”.
To develop this action, we have had the collaboration of Lingokids, as well as coordination with Hospital La Paz, which is also carrying out initiatives framed in the UN SDGs 2030.
The president of the RFEF, Luis Rubiales; the Minister of Health of the Community of Madrid, Enrique Ruiz-Escudero; the managing director of Hospital La Paz, Rafael Pérez-Santamarina; and, among others, representatives of Lingokids attended this Monday to inaugurate these facilities with which it is hoped that waiting for these patients will be a “more pleasant and welcoming” experience.
This is a first action that the RFEF wants to extend to other hospitals in Spain to convey “the fans and passion for football that the Spanish team represents.”
