Deportivo and Numancia rush their options to be able to compete next season in the Second Division. The Royal Spanish Football Federation has already publicly stated its intention that the competition be for 24 teams, as the last unified day cannot be played and therefore, it is incurring in competitive changes to the programmed. As well, the soriano club, one of those involved, today announced that the FEF continues to insist on the competent bodies to evaluate its proposal.
It has done so through a note, signed by the Secretary General, Andreu Camps, referred to Javier Tebas, Irene Lozano as president of the Higher Sports Council and to the top leaders of Deportivo de la Coruña, Numancia and Fuenlabrada. In her, request a response from the competent bodies before Friday, since next Monday is set as the deadline to define the calendar for the next season.
Despite the intention of the Federation, at the moment the idea of a Second Division of 24 teams is losing steam. The FEF, meanwhile, has left the Second Division B at 102 clubs, as an indication of its intention to maintain the bronze division at two more than this past season. Throughout the week the final resolution could be known.
