The RFEC organizes this weekend some days to attract new talents of adapted cycling

MADRID, 18 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Royal Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEC) will organize this weekend in the Cuenca town of Tarancón a few days of recruitment in order to discover new talents of cyclists with disabilities to ensure the future of the team.

These days, which will take place from Friday to Sunday, are held “with the aim of continuing the successful sports line” of today with cyclists such as Alfonso Cabello, Ricardo Ten, Sergio Garrote or ‘Kuki’ López and in search of discover “new talents that can develop in the competitive field and join the national team in the medium and long term.”

Those interested have had to meet requirements such as having Spanish nationality on the date of the conference, being between 11 and 40 years old on December 31, 2021, being affected by some of the eligible disabilities in adapted cycling according to its regulations (disability physical, cerebral palsy, acquired brain damage and impairment), be motivated towards training and competition, and know how to ride a bicycle, handbike and / or tricycle.

Those chosen belong to all modalities (bicycles, tandem, handbike and tricycles) and nine of them are under 17 years old. All of them will carry out during these three days various tests such as incremental tests, MR + Isometric Force test, personal interviews and eligibility assessments to learn about them in depth.
