The reason why Kate Middleton underwent emergency surgery is revealed: “A hysterectomy”

The United Kingdom has been in suspense since, last Thursday, Buckingham Palace announced that the Princess of Wales had undergone abdominal surgery. They did not reveal the reason for the intervention but they did reveal that she would be admitted to the hospital for 10 to 14 days and on medical leave until Easter. The increase in rumors forced them to clarify that it was not a “cancerous process” but this Tuesday they returned with force when the reason that could have led Kate Middleton to undergo surgery was revealed (unofficially): “A hysterectomy.”

Pilar Vidal revealed it in Public mirror. It is an intervention in which the female reproductive system (uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries) is removed and can be due to several diagnoses: painful and abundant menstrual bleeding, cervical dysplasia, endometriosis, uterine prolapse… Experts say that none of them involves a hospital stay as long as the one they have announced in the case of Kate Middleton but, as we said, Kensington neither confirms nor denies.

Last weekend, in addition, some other information was leaked that did not exactly help to reassure those interested. And neither the admission nor the surgery of the princess have been “planned”, as the official statement stated: “The operation was urgent.” The wife of William of England He entered the hospital on December 28, after experiencing discomfort that had worsened in recent days. The decision to announce the situation through a statement, given the secrecy of the British Royal House, responded to “post-operative problems.”

The family and institutional situation has been complicated due to the entry of king Charles III, announced a few hours after his daughter-in-law's. The 75-year-old monarch will undergo surgery to remove a benign tumor in the prostate. In this case there seems to be more calm and even Queen Camilla has responded to the press's questions without a hint of concern: “Okay, looking forward to getting back to work.”
