The Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar and the Rafa Nadal Club have joined the 'Give Smiles' initiative of the paddle tennis player Marta Ortega, with the aim of distributing new toys among the children who will remain hospitalized during the Christmas season.
“On one of her recent visits to the academy, we spoke with Martita and the possibility arose of joining her campaign, which is always so well received in the Community of Madrid. We think it is a beautiful initiative and I hope that she will join it here in Mallorca as many people as possible,” said Maribel Nadal, marketing director of the Academy and sister of the tennis player.
Marta Ortega has recently joined the Rafa Nadal Academy team in the 'Hexagon Cup', where she has stressed that they have been carrying out this initiative for “six years now” and it gives her “great joy to see how the objectives with which she was born are being achieved.” they are surpassing year after year.”
“It is the first time that 'Regala Sonrisas' is held outside of Madrid and I am especially happy to see the affection with which the entire Rafa Nadal Academy team has joined the cause,” highlighted the professional padel player.
“With your help, I'm sure there will be many people who help and collaborate in a selfless and supportive manner. Giving a toy is just a small gesture, a few seconds of our lives, but we can make many boys and girls immensely happy on these very special dates. beautiful and at the same time so difficult for them. That's the only thing I ask for Christmas, that those kids forget their problems for a while,” he stressed.
The toys will be distributed at the Manacor Hospital, at the Quirónsalud Palmaplanas Hospital, at the Rotger Quirónsalud Clinic and also among families at the Rafa Nadal Foundation center located in Palma de Mallorca.
The collection points will be located both at the fitness reception of the Rafa Nadal Club and at the Rafa Nadal School until next December 19.
In addition to collecting toys, toys will also be distributed at the Rafa Nadal Foundation Center in Palma de Mallorca located in La Soledat-Nou Levante and which aims to accompany more than 250 boys, girls and adolescents and their families each year, who are in vulnerable situations, through sports, educational activities and psychosocial support.
