The return of the public to the stadiums is getting closer and closer. According 'El Larguero' of Cadena SER, Pedro Sánchez, president of the Government, has given the go-ahead together with José Manuel Franco, president of the CSD, for the stands to be seen again with fans. The step forward is such that the proposal has passed to the table of Carolina Darias, Minister of Health.
According to the program directed and presented by Manu Carreño, the intention of the Government is that there are local supporters in the stands (there would be no visiting followers) in the last four league games, with a Barcelona-Atlético at the Camp Nou and a Real Madrid-Sevilla in Valdebebas, or in the last two, in the worst case, which would be played at the weekend. The idea is that this measure is also extended to the stands of the ACB League fields.
This good news especially cheers the Second Division clubs, which have more days to play and a promotion playoff to First that coincides with the European Championship.
'El Larguero' has said that, in the case of returning the public, the clubs would allow 25% of the capacity with nominal entries, exact entry time, time between 30 and 45 seconds to pass through the turnstile, perimeter areas, the prohibition of getting up, eating, smoking and without animation stands.
The last match with fans before the coronavirus pandemic was more than two years ago, on March 8, 2020: a Betis-Real Madrid.
