European football continues to accommodate the delay caused by the pandemic and the possibility of fixing the transfer market between August and September is already on the table.. The last major league to join this possibility has been the Premier, which in principle should reopen its transfer period on June 18 but, taking into account that the competition returns on June 17, it has no intention of keeping that date.
That is why, in the absence of FIFA confirming the authorized periods, the English league is already beginning to pose, like the French and the Italian, a quite logical possibility bearing in mind that the national competitions will end in July and, predictably, the European ones will take place in August. This would leave very little margin for non-interference if the usual times were maintained, so the proposed scenario seems quite likely.
In fact, according to the British press, the English Football Federation (FA) is already debating a proposal that would set the end of the summer market on October 2. Meanwhile, the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has already established its market between September 1 and October 5, while the French, which has already opened the domestic market, also seems to want to join this initiative.
