The Premier agrees to keep the price of visitor tickets at 35 euros until 2025

MADRID, 9 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Premier League clubs on Thursday unanimously agreed to maintain the €35 (£30) price for away fan tickets for the next three seasons, according to a statement issued by the competition itself.

“Premier League clubs today unanimously agreed to maintain the current €35 cap on away ticket prices for the next three seasons,” the Premier announced.

This price cap was introduced in the 2016-2017 season after the successful implementation of the Away Supporters Initiative that launched the competition, under which clubs provide a series of measures for their away fans. Thus, and after the agreement this Thursday, this limit on tickets will be reviewed in 2025, when it has been in force for nine seasons.

“All clubs recognize the crucial importance of fans in creating the best possible atmosphere at matches and recognize the additional travel costs often involved in following a team away from home,” the competition said in a statement.

The clubs also approved this Thursday the introduction of an action plan to address the improvement of the collective offer of the League for fans. This includes the development of a series of new measures and commitments for all fans. Thus, the teams endorsed the creation of Supporters Advisory Councils and the appointment of an official at Council level to be responsible for the club’s fan engagement activities.

The clubs also supported the development and creation of a new Fan Engagement Standard, which will set a new minimum level of engagement across the League.

“Fans are the lifeblood of the game and essential to their clubs, these new standards will ensure meaningful long-term engagement with supporters. The Premier League will continue to consult with clubs and the Football Supporters Association to complete the framework of the Standard. of Commitment of the Fans, with the aim of its introduction in the 2022-2023 season”, settled the competition.
