MADRID, Jan. 27 (SportsFinding) –

The health crisis that is affecting China has forced the FIBA to move to Belgrade the Basketball Pre-Olympic where the Spanish women's team will seek the ticket for the Tokyo Games this summer.

“After carefully assessing the outbreak of coronavirus and prioritizing the safety of the players and team members, the FIBA Executive Committee decided to relocate the tournament in Belgrade,” the agency said in a statement.

In this way, Spain, which was initially going to look for the Olympic ticket in the Chinese city of Foshán, will finally do so in the Serbian capital between February 6 and 9, when it will face Korea, China and Great Britain. Three of those four teams will win the Olympic ticket and if the Spanish team meets the forecasts it will play the fifth Games of its history.
