The practices of Alessio Lisci

In the summer of 2011, the Levante coach, Alessio Lisci, requested by letter practices to the quarries of all the clubs of First division after obtaining a study scholarship in Italy known as the ‘Leonardo Program’, which allows to do paid practices at Foreign, after a brief stint at the Lazio school. Only Atlético and Levante answered.

“I had a scholarship to do an internship. I skipped the ones I had to do at another club and tried to find the practices like this, sending emails. Levante offered me to be an assistant in the Division of HonorIt was a more important team and I chose Levante. I think I made a good decision“, explained the Italian in the press conference prior to the meeting.

The Roman stressed as second of Juvenile A by the hand of Miguel Angel Villafaina. After the dismissal of Villafaina in 2016, he had to return to Rome for a while until receiving the call back from Levante. After that, he went up one by one steps in the structure until he reached the first team after the dismissal of Javier Pereira. A decade later, at only 36 years old (the youngest in Primera) he will face the rojiblancos in the elite. Nice story.
