The parakeet fans will be ‘present’ at the RCDE Stadium

This Saturday Espanyol will not feel totally alone at RCDE Stadium, in the important game of the ‘redebut’ league game against Alavés (14 hours).

And is that thanks to a curious initiative promoted by the blue and white club, the fans will be able to get their breath to the players in the first game behind closed doors of the up to six matches that, in principle, they will play Abelardo's local in the remainder of this express league that starts tomorrow.

In recent hours, Espanyol has proposed to its followers that videotape messages of encouragement, either individually or collectively, and that last no more than 15 or 20 seconds.

The purpose of these messages, which will be accepted until this Friday, June 12 (at the address info@rcdespanyol.com), is to project them on the stadium's video scoreboards in different phases of the games that Abelardo's play at home, starting with the visit of Alavés this Saturday.

Compensation for matches behind closed doors, ongoing

On the other hand, Espanyol has reported this Wednesday that it is already underway the compensation process for members-subscribers who will not be able to attend all the League games remaining in the stadium, as a consequence of the crisis by the Covid-19.

As announced a few days ago, the club offers different options for members to choose the one that suits them best, but in any case, exceptionally and as a commitment to all of them, “The club will renew their membership card for the 20/21 season at no cost”, As recalled on the club's website.

From the entity it is recalled that the compensation for the matches that the Blue and Whites fans will not be able to witness on the spot at the RCDE Stadium, corresponds to 20% of the final amount paid for the 19/20 subscription. And the member will have several options to recover that amount: a payment on account of the 20-21 subscription; subsequent party invitations; wallet card to spend in official stores.
