The open fronts in the last stretch of LaLiga

The national team break is over and the internationals are back with their teams. LaLiga resumes the trip for a season finale that is near. There are only ten days left that for many teams and players will mean ten finals. With thirty points at stake, everything has yet to be decided in LaLiga Santander. From the title, for which there is a fight between Atlético, Barcelona and Real Madrid, to the relegation. Without forgetting the individual fights like the Pichichi trophy or the Zamora.

Title fight

There are three applicants to sing the alirón this season. The favorite is Atlético, who have a four-point cushion over their two pursuers, Barcelona and Real Madrid. The rojiblancos in recent days have missed several points that have made them reduce their comfortable advantage; while the Catalans have managed to overcome their bad league start to become one of those who fight for it. Madrid, despite some setbacks in recent days, also remains in the fight.

Atlético, with 66 points, has one of the most complicated schedules. This weekend they have to face Sevilla at Sánchez Pizjuán and Betis on the following day. But one of the dates marked in red on the calendar is Barcelona, second with 62 points. LThe rojiblancos will visit the Camp Nou on the weekend of May 9. A duel that can be decisive for the title. Barcelona will have another momentous match before. On April 10 the Classic will be played. A game that could take Real Madrid away from the fight or put it more fully and overtake the Catalans.

Unlike Atlético, Barcelona and Real Madrid have other commitments in addition to LaLiga. Barcelona has to play in the Cup final against Athletic, while Real Madrid owes Liverpool in the Champions League.

Fight to get into Europe: Champions, Europa League and Conference League

While in other seasons the fight for fourth place was very close, this season Sevilla starts with a lot of advantage. Those of Lopetegui have a five-point advantage over the fifth, Real Sociedad. The same distance it has with respect to the third party.

The fight for Europe has a novelty this season. This year to go to the Europa League can be achieved by being fifth or by winning the Copa del Rey. The sixth place gives access to the Conference League, the new competition that will be released next season. Although there is an exception, if the Cup champion is already classified for the Europa League or the Champions League, that ticket for the Europa League will fall on the sixth classified, leaving access to the Conference League to the seventh. In this way, those who would have a ticket for the Europa League and the Conference League right now are Real Sociedad (5th, 45 points) and Betis (6th, 45 points). Villarreal (7th, 43 points) is the great pursuer of both. Granada (8th, 36 points), Athletic (9th), Levante (10th) and Celta (11th) are the other candidates.

Fight for permanence

One of the most agonizing battles is to avoid descent. Eibar, Alavés and Huesca occupy the last three places. Although the distance from salvation is not very far for any of the three. Gunsmiths and babazorros add 23 points, two points below permanence; the Huesca are a little further away, but with options since they add 21 points. Elche, with 25 points, is the team that marks the permanence. Valladolid (27), Cádiz (29) and Getafe (29) cannot be lost if they do not want to fall into the well.

Pichichi

Although the start of the season was not a very high scorer for Messi is at the head of the fight for the Pichichi trophy with 23 goals. Your former partner Luis Suárez is his main pursuer, after 19 goals achieved at Atlético de Madrid. Benzema also remains in the fight with the 17 goals achieved with the Real Madrid shirt. You have to go down to fourth place to find the first Spanish in the Pichichi. It is about Gerard Moreno, the Villarreal striker and the National Team accumulates 16 goals.

Zamora

Another of the individual trophies that is also at stake is that of the best goalkeeper. Zamora decides which is the goalkeeper with the fewest goals conceded. Last year it was Courtois who won this award but Oblak is the one who marches first this campaign. He has conceded 18 goals in 28 games, which leaves him with a coefficient of 0.64; lower than that of Courtois, second in the ranking, with a coefficient of 0.82 after conceding 23 goals in 28 games.
