The one x one of Barcelona: Messi has lost the goal

Koeman touched just the eleven in Vitoria, but spoiled it. He played with four starting strikers (Messi, Griezmann, Dembélé and Ansu) and that deprived him of making football from the liaison area in which Pedri or Coutinho have worked so well. At halftime he reacted and made three changes at once. Barça in the second half was an adventure, with only a pure defense on the field, but after a decent start, in which he was able to connect the lines with De Jong-Pjanic-Pedri, he drowned in the middle. This was the one on one for Barça, who came out with a 4-2-3-1 that did not change in general terms during the game.

Net. He threw away his great start to the season with an unforgivable mistake in a goalkeeper of a big team that reminded him of the one that Ter Stegen had in his day in Vigo. He made a mess with the ball and Luis Rioja took it from him.

Sergi Roberto. He suffered in the first half with the balls behind him. In the second half much more was lavished, but could not give the final pass from the right. Fighter.

Pique. Suspense. He did Neto no favors with a gesture that confused him. The percentage of error in the goal is greater in Net, but he is not spared. He got him into trouble by gesturing in an action in which even the assignment was left over. He went up looking for a saving goal in the second half, but did not connect well with a shot.

Lenglet. Replaced by tactical matters. He did his job in the first half although there was a problem with the speed of the Alavés forwards. He gave a fantastic pass to Ansu, who sent him into limbo even though he had been called offside.

Sunrise. He lost many balls at the beginning of the game and was not concrete. Like Busquets, the matches in a row weigh on him. More after coming from an injury. His connection with Messi, constant for so many years, has been lost. At least frequently.

Busquets. Shipwreck. The parties physically surpass him. After resisting at the start of the season, where he was good, the team with him has no rhythm. Play too slow and don't speed up the game. Pjanic risks a lot but gives it another rhythm. No this.

De Jong. Better as a center-back than as a midfielder, although he also reached danger zones in the first half and was the subject of a possible penalty. He started the team in the second half. He has improved in recent games.

Dembélé. Each play of the French is an adventure, usually frustrated. Without spaces, he is a player who makes a lot of mistakes. He overflowed into some action, but he rarely chooses the good option. Replaced at rest.

Griezmann. Less active than in Turin, and again failed in the first part. But very good in the tie action. He needs to relate to the ball a little more. At least, he broke his streak in LaLiga and gave the team a point. Good attitude.

Ansu. Little concrete. He missed a very clear opportunity in the first part. He lacks some vision in some actions, but he has poison. He collided with Pacheco and could not celebrate his birthday with a goal.

Messi. Absolutely denied in every way. He is not fine in the last touch to accommodate the ball and neither in the hit. He won these games with one leg and now he suffers them. His figure remains elevated above the rest, but he has become much more human. Fallon in the free kick, with numerous losses on the field and somewhat advocated.

In the second part, they appeared on the field

Pjanic. It gives much more than Busquets. The team in his presence has much more dynamic of the game. He tried the goal with a shot that drew a strange parable but was rejected by Pacheco. He plays too relaxed from midfield to the back and that leads to dangerous losses. If you fix that, it is indisputable right now.

Trincao. Willful, but without finesse. It gets too inward. He did not stretch the field as in the Champions League match against Ferencvaros. He needs to raise his head and see what is happening all over the field, not just five meters from him.

Dest. Uproar. He has a lot of drive and that is good for a team that has grown old. But he doesn't make the best decisions on the field. Something that can improve.

Pedri. His presence gave meaning to the Barça game. He moved the game with great class from left to right. But he has to go with the knife when he gets the chance. He must have shot on goal a couple of times.

Braithwaite. If you ever want to score the decisive goal, you must begin to understand that you cannot live offside. His presence at Barça makes sense to resolve matches like yesterday's with some opportunistic spark, but he was hardly seen.
