The new Italy is alive: Gnonto already shines

Italy is alive. After the disasters of the last few months, Roberto Mancini had promised a revolution, the start of a new era. he fulfilled. For the first Nations League match against a Germany that arrived very launched, the coach changed ten players out of the eleven who were overwhelmed by Argentina at Wembley. He did not manage to win, but he did win a draw that gives the Italians a smile and some hope for the future of their team, which still has to recover several injured (Church, Verratti y Zaniolo, entre otros).

Flick presented in the From the Ara to a solid and competitive team, consistent with their latest performances. Behind Werner were Müller, Sané and Gnabrywho had the best chances to open the can, but with poor aim. The Germans kept the ball, but Italy knew how to create danger with the freshness of their new. Frattesi, on the day of his debut, showed personality with a couple of initiatives and shots from distance. Scamaccafor its part, he gave very good signs in a role, that of center forward, which is a very serious problem for the Azzurra. The Sassuolo player was inches from 1-0 with a shot from the edge of the box, unstoppable for Neuer, who ran into the post.

The positive feelings of the Italians continued in the second half, in which Mancini launched his new discovery. gnonta 19-year-old Zürich striker, made his senior debut without ever having played in Serie A. The coach did the same with Zaniolo and, apparently, he hit again. The winger jumped onto the field in an impressive way, with a quick personal move he got rid of Keher and put a perfect center, which Pellegrini only had to push between the posts for the 1-0.

There came the only mole of the azzurra night: immediately conceding the tie. Germany reacted in his own way, vehemently, and in three minutes he put the tables thanks to a center of Hofmann which bounced off the area until Kimmich beat Donnarumma with a whiplash.

In the last 20 minutes the game remained even and Manciniwithout any fear gave away four more premieres: Dimarco, Pobega, Ricci and Cancellieri. His new Italy endured, worked well, and made one think, although it is easy to say now, that the revolution must have started after the European Championship. There is life after the disaster.
