The ‘new’ Bernabéu roof is already taking shape

The remodeling of the Santiago Bernabeu continues its course at a good pace. This same Monday, the workers installed one of the iron “snakes” that will shape the retractable roof cover of about 1,000 tons.

They did so with the help of several of the cranes that have populated the surroundings of the stadium for months and that served as a tool to lift the structure to the roof of the Madrid stadium.

It is therefore one of the most complicated tasks due to the great weight of the structure but one of the most important since the roof will be the main novelty of the new Bernabeu. It is expected that by autumn 2022, the works will be almost finished and the Real
Madrid you can open your new home by receiving fans.
