Gloria Trevi (54) and the producer Sergio Andrade (67) face a new lawsuit for the abuse and exploitation of two underage girls in the 1990s in Los Angeles.
According to the lawsuit to which the American magazine has had access The Rolling Stoneneither the name of Trevi nor that of Andrade appear literally in the document, but due to the details presented by the plaintiffs and the chronology of their narrations, it makes it clear that they are both the defendants.
The two alleged victims allege that they were 13 and 15 years old when the singer of Everyone look at me He approached them to propose joining a supposedly elite musical training program run by Andrade and by then, both Trevi and Andrade were already enjoying international fame and recognition.
In their description, the plaintiffs claim that Trevi groomed and manipulated them on various occasions to become “sex slaves” to the producer and that much of the abuse took place in Los Angeles County.
For their part, both describe that the events they experienced separately with Andrade were physical and sexual assaults, isolation from their family, and constant abuse.
“(Trevi and Andrade) used their role, status and power as a well-known and successful Mexican pop star and famous producer to gain access, groom, manipulate and exploit (the victims) and force sexual contact with them during a course of years,” the complaint alleges, according to the music magazine.
Gloria Trevi, married since 2009 to the lawyer Armando Gomez, and his former representative were arrested in January 2000, in Brazil, for “kidnapping, rape and corruption of minors.” The artist was acquitted and exonerated in 2004, as a court ruled that there was insufficient evidence to justify her admission to jail. For the moment, the interpreter of psychophony has not ruled on it.
