The Netherlands is looking to end its losing streak of results and find victory again after almost three months without winning one of its matches. The ‘oranje’ receives Bosnia today with the clear objective of obtaining a balsamic victory and putting them squarely in the fight for the first place in Group 3 of the Nations League. Despite not achieving victory since the beginning of September (1-0 against Poland), the team led by Frank De Boer is in third position with 5 points, one less than Italy and two behind the leader Poland. Bosnia's visit, at the bottom with only two points, is the perfect occasion for the Dutch team to come out of its slump and present its candidacy to repeat its presence in the 'Final Four' next October, even if it does not depend on itself.
The ‘oranje’ coach has almost all his stars at his disposal, with Depay and De Jong at the helm. The Barça midfielder, like Wijnaldum, is warned and if he sees a yellow card he will miss Wednesday's match against Poland. “If one of those two gets a yellow card, someone will have to stick that stick up their nose very quickly (do a PCR), because then I will have to ask for a replacement,” commented Frank De Boer. It would not be the first time a replacement has been required, as Sven Botman recently had to replace Nathan Aké, injured in the friendly against Spain.
Meanwhile, Pjanic's Bosnia arrives wanting to fight to try to save their relegation to League B. The Bosnian team already managed to score points against the Netherlands in the first leg in Zenica (0-0) and now dreams of a win at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam.
