The National Team will start the season in Extremadura

Extremadura will host the start of the season for the Spanish soccer team. During the months of September and October, the national teams will play in the Extremadura Community their first official matches of the different competitions that start with the beginning of the season.

Thus, on September 5, the Spanish team of Luis Enrique will face Georgia at the Nuevo Vivero de Badajoz, in which it will be matchday 2 in the Qualification Phase for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Two days before, and at the stadium Francisco de la Hera from the town of Almendralejo, it will be the turn of the Spanish Under-21 team of Luis de la Fuente, which begins its journey in the Qualifying Phase for the 2023 European Championship in Georgia and Romania. Russia will be a rival on September 3.

And already in October, it will be the turn for the Spanish women's team. Jorge Vilda's men start the Qualification Phase for the 2023 World Cup in September, but on October 21, the National Team will play its first friendly preparation for the EURO 2022 at the Principe Felipe de Cáceres Stadium.
