The National Police intervene the offices of Malaga by court order

Agents of the National Police Corps are intervening at the facilities of La Rosaleda, the Málaga Club de Fútbol stadium by court order, according to sources close to the investigation.

The proceedings are declared secret, so the reason for this police intervention has not transcended. Still, regional media like Malaga's Opinion They ensure that the objective of these inquiries is to obtain information about the signings and economic movements of the club.

This intervention to collect information is carried out after specifically authorizing the Court of Instruction number 14 of Malaga, as indicated by judicial sources.

Said court has opened some proceedings after the complaint filed by small shareholders of Malaga, a procedure in which he has been summoned to declare Sheikh Abdullah Al-Thani, president of the club, and his children on the 18th of next February.

The complaint was filed against four people, the president of Malaga and three members of the Board of Directors, who are his children, have indicated, pointing out that at the time it was found that they have no diplomatic immunity.

The crimes for which the complaint has been filed are of alleged unfair administration and misappropriation, although according to the direction in which the investigation progresses, it could be extended to money laundering.

The case instructor rejected a week ago the petition made by the complainants to appoint a judicial administrator to lead the club while clarifying the procedure, after initially opposing the Prosecutor's Office; although the decision can still be reviewed.

Malaga is experiencing a delicate moment due to the high level of expenditure derived from the decline to Second in 2018 and a structure that is too large for the new category

The Andalusian club goes through a few complicated months. His economic trajectory is worrisome after the descent to Second in the 17/18 course and after not reducing his expenses in the 18/19, when he received the usual aid to the descent granted by LaLiga.

With a strong investment in players and with the failure to return to Primera, Malaga suffered a significant decrease in the salary limit (the amount allowed that teams can spend on salaries to develop their activity in a sustainable way), of 25 to 9.9 million euros. This caused several of his summer signings to be disrupted and, in order to make the calls, he had to resort to players of the subsidiary because he could not register all his players of the first team.

The situation forces the club to reduce, in the coming months, its level of expenses so as not to ignite even more the alarms of a League that already suspended the Reus for similar reasons last season.
