This Wednesday, April 12, the documentary premiered on Antena 3 a barbaric life, in which the former vedette from Totana reviews her life since childhood. This was precisely the topic Barbara Rey mainly addressed in the first episode, which was a huge ratings success.

Unfortunately, her childhood in Totana was marked by mistreatment (physical and psychological) that both she and her sister, Petrithey received from their mother, saviorwho died in 2011. However, in this first installment he also left some headlines about the King Juan Carlos. Next, we compile some of the most shocking statements of the actress.
Barbara comes from a humble family. “Ours was a very humble family. My father was working when he was very young in the fields, then in a mill. My mother was working serving practically all her life until she got married.”
She broke down when she remembered her mother, who was hospitalized for two years due to psychological problems: “My mother took the upset of the century [al enterarse del embarazo] and he was crying for a long time. According to my mother, I should not be in this world“. His mother even tried not to have it: “He told me everything he did to not have me. Pick up a lot of weight, go down the stairs sitting down, put your feet in boiling water…”.
According to what she said, neither she nor her brothers ever received a sign of affection from her, something that she still has stuck with and that has marked the rest of her life: “That affection that you need from your mother, the one who talks to you, who understands you … We never had that. not a kiss“.
Listening to Bárbara Rey, at this moment, gives a lot to think about. We should keep much more in mind that, behind each person, there are many stories. Many of which mark your life.

However, what he remembers with more pain is the ordeal that he also put his sister through: “I remember my mistreatment less than my sister’s. For me it is as if I had a little daughter. She couldn’t see how he treated her at only four years old. He took it from his hands“. Petri herself also intervened in the documentary and spoke about it: “I think she has not yet freed herself from those feelings of guilt that my mother gave her.” During their childhood, both did not identify what was happening: “I never thought that yelling at you, insulting you or disrespecting you was mistreatment. That word was not known.
For whom he did have some good words was his father, Andrés, who died in 2010: “My father was the one who made me relax. I found help and support in my father. My father is the love of my life. He is the man who has respected, valued, supported and helped me the most. He has truly loved me with all his heart and soul. I don’t think anyone has felt for me what my father did. I die for him“.
Thanks to him, in fact, she fulfilled her dream of becoming an actress: “When I told my mother that I wanted to be an artist, she told me that I was going to become a nun. and that was a tire shop. She was not capable of thinking about being a nun and not being an artist. She did not give her arm to twist. She wanted her to study and have a career, but when I did high school I said no more. I turned 18, and on February 28, my father took me to Madrid“.

The program team moved Barbara to the house in Totana, Murcia, where she grew up with her parents and siblings. She also has a male brother, named Salvador. However, she could not enter the house, tormented by bad memories of her: “It makes me sad, anguished and terrified.. I have not been happy here. I remember that my mother had a little room in the back where she had put some kitchen furniture and she spent all day there. The kitchen was never released, nor was the dining room.”
In the first episode, King Juan Carlos was also discussed, although they will delve into this topic in the next three episodes. Chelo Garcia-Cortes, who participates in the documentary, recalled the heartbreaking story of her friend when, from a car, she denounced her situation: “Now we believe Corinna’s fear, but when Barbara comes out saying in the car that she is afraid for her children… There they said ‘no, it’s a story from Totana’. And she sentenced: “She was very afraid and I was also afraid of her.”
