The most curious votes of The Best

Robert Lewandowski has won The Best award. Unlike other awards of this caliber, the organization publishes all the votes that have crowned him shortly after announcing the winner. In the first instance, a group of FIFA experts choose 11 male and 11 female finalists. Some of those involved in that vote are Mascherano, Julio César or Trezeguet. Subsequently, a second phase starts to choose the winners. There they vote, with 25% representation each: the captains of the 211 FIFA teams, the coaches of the same 211, a specialized journalist representing each of those 211 countries and the fans. Voters must choose three members from each of the categories and give them five, three and one point. Before the gala, FIFA has already informed the finalists for each of the categories. In this case, Messi, Salah and Lewandowski were the contenders for best male footballer. They come out of the voting results, which also include the rest of the first candidates. There is no restriction, beyond the fact that Cristiano could not vote for himself. For example, Deschamps can bet on Mbappé or Benzema, even if they are from his own country.
