The most classic Atleti for 20/21

Atlético de Madrid presented its new home kit for the 20/21 campaign this Friday. The Madrid club and Nike have opted for a return to the classic under the slogan “United by Atleti. Because they believe them, they never give up.”

With Joao Félix, Saúl, Simeone and Deyna Castellanos as a claim, Atleti showed a new shirt that bets on a return to a more classic design and recovers the 'shirt' collar in blue tones. The stripes will continue to be vertical (Nike has already 'flipped' them onto the Barcelona shirt years ago) although the limits will be somewhat more blurred, giving a feeling of being painted. The back will be mostly red, leaving space for the bib and it will show a small flag of Spain just below the neck. On the sides it will show two fine stripes of the same navy blue on the neck, slightly darker than the shield. The men's first team will wear Plus 500 as the main sponsor on the chest in addition to Ría just below the dorsla. The women's will continue with Herbalife as the main sponsor and both will wear the Hyundai logo on their left sleeve.

Atlético's new kit for the 2020-2021 season

According to Atlético himself, the new kit “embodies the club's enduring values through a classic interpretation of its famous colors.” It has a classic neckline and slightly distorted red and white stripes for a modern touch.

The pants will be the same navy blue as the details of the shirt and the totally red socks. “This kit has a very classic look and it is nice to have the full neck again for the first time in a long time,” Saúl said in statements provided by the club.

The shirt is already available both in physical stores and on the web. The men's first team has two qualities: the steam match (the one used in the game) that costs 139.95 euros and the Stadium, which is 89.95. The women's first team, with a cut for women, is only in Stadium quality also at that price.
