The mighty Marvel, on the radar of Ancelotti and the Selection

It is the panther of Factory and soon it may also be the National Team. Marvelous Antolín Garzón (Casablanca, 2003), better known in Valdebebas as Marvel, is one of the centrals of the future, in Valdebebas and in La Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas. Last Sunday he made his debut at the age of 18 in the First RFEF in Castilla's 2-2 against Atlético Baleares because although he belongs to Juvenil A, Raúl likes it a lot. Marvel combines a sturdy complexion with great speed when cutting and, above all, a condition that increases his value: he is left-handed. Conditions that Zinedine Zidane began to explore last season, who took him up twice to training with the first team to see him up close. Reports that have now also been transmitted to Ancelotti.

Marvel is not a superhero (yet) although physically it might seem like one. “It's a rock”they say in the house. “The other day he dried Vinicius Tanque and he is one of the most physical forwards of the First RFEF”. He has also taken a head in the UEFA Youth League, where he has started both of Hernán Pérez's European Youth matches. The fact is that it is the second stage of Marvel in Valdebebas. He was captured very quickly by the white club, with 7 years being Benjamin, but the club decided to let him leave at the end of the season, then went through Atlético, Rayo and from the age of 13 he returned to Factory not to go out again. His growth, also in football, has been spectacular.

Close to the Sub-19 …

So much so that he seems ready to make the leap to internationality shortly. Marvel was born in Casablanca but his adopted family is Spanish, so the defender has dual nationality. At the moment he has not received any news from Morocco, which has a scout in Madrid for these cases, but yes is on the radar of the technicians of the lower categories of the Spanish National Team. He has not yet had the opportunity to be summoned for an official match because competitions below the Under-21 have been suspended since March last year due to the pandemic. Now this very high on the list of power plants of the 2003 generation followed by Santi Denia and his assistants for the U19.
