The Maspalomas Cup will kick off with a very special Canarian derby

This Friday, June 24, is celebrated, in the south of Gran Canaria, the opening day of the Maspalomas Cup. From 4:00 p.m. to night, the Rodagon Sport team has scheduled different games and activities to start the 8th edition in style. Referees, authorities, coaches and family members will dress in shorts to enjoy the king of sports on the same stage where around 3,000 children will do so until next Wednesday the 29th.

An opening day in which, one more year, hand in hand with the UD Las Palmas I+I and CD Tenerife EDI-PC, values ​​such as respect, equality, companionship, normalization, social commitment and solidarity, will be represented wonderfully. The two teams, this season, have set an example in LaLiga Genuinethe best competition in the world made up of teams from the DI group (people with intellectual disabilities), and they will offer us a spectacular Canarian derby as the kick-off of the tournament.

Once the matches are over, around 8:00 p.m., the parade of participants will begin from the fields of the Maspalomas Sports City towards South Park, where an opening ceremony full of performances, surprises and gifts will take place. A day later, on Saturday 25, at 09:00 a.m. the ball will start rolling with the clashes of the group stage of the five categories: prebenjamín, benjamín, alevín, infantile and cadet.
