The MAPFRE Tennis League returns with a renewed format

After the success of last year, the MAPFRE Tennis League returns in 2021 with a renewed format in search of the best Spanish tennis players in the male and female challengers that are played in Spain, tournaments of categories between 50 thousand and 80 thousand dollars.

If the objective of last year was to help Spanish tennis players in their return to competition after the break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, lhe Royal Spanish Tennis Federation (RFET) now wants to support and give visibility to the players who travel in the second division of world tennis in their leap to the ATP and WTA circuits.

The ranking of the MAPFRE Tennis League will score the Spanish tennis players who compete in the 10 ATP Challenger men's tournaments scheduled in Spain this 2021, and to the Spanish players who participate in the 4 highest category ITF World Tennis Tour women's tournaments (60 and 80 thousand dollars) in our country.

In search of the best Spaniards in the “challengers”

Every Monday following a tournament, The updated male or female ranking will be published on the RFET website and social networks, and the player who finishes the year in No. 1 will receive a prize to be announced soon.

Equally, each week the player most in the form of the week in these circuits will be highlighted on social networks, in order to make them known to the general public.

The first scoring tournament for the 2021 MAPFRE Tennis League will be the men's ATP Challenger that will be held this coming week in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
