The midfielder faces a new assignment after that of Dortmund

The Brazilian player Reinier Jesus Carvalho will play the 2022/23 season at Girona FC, recently promoted to LaLiga Santander, on loan from Real Madrid CF, in a new loan for the midfielder after the lackluster experience at Borussia Bundesliga Dortmund.
“Real Madrid CF and Girona FC have agreed to loan the player Reinier for this season, until June 30, 2023,” Real Madrid announced in a statement.
Also Girona FC, in a more extensive note, confirmed the agreement and celebrated the arrival in Montilivi of a versatile midfielder – he can play in the center and at both ends – whose “great technical quality and speed” stand out.
“Reinier can take on and outplay opponents in one-on-one duels while showing excellent off-the-mark ability, which makes his offensive moves easy. Reinier is also a great assistant who knows how to identify the best-placed teammates to send the ball to. ball and leave them in superiority”, valued the Catalan club.
Born in Brasilia 20 years ago, the U-23 international –Olympic champion in Tokyo 2020– started playing in the lower categories of Vasco de Gama, Botafogo, Fluminense and Flamengo, with whom he made his first team debut at the age of 17 , in a Copa Libertadores match.
Real Madrid signed him in the 2020 winter market to join the subsidiary, Raúl González’s Castilla, with whom he played just 3 games but with 2 goals and 1 assist before leaving on loan to Borussia Dortmund.
With the Germans he has completed two seasons. In 20/21 he played 19 games between the Bundesliga, Cup, ‘Champions’ and Super Cup, with only 1 goal and 1 assist in the league. Last season, 2021/22, he had less weight in the German team, with 13 games in the Bundesliga (20 in total) and without being able to score or assist.
