The Madrid League would make the transfer of Eden Hazard more expensive

When Real Madrid announced on June 8, 2019 the signing of Eden Hazard It took several weeks of arduous negotiations between the white entity and the English team. In the offices of the white team it was possible to lower the high economic pretensions of Chelsea, until setting a transfer price of € 100M. A moral victory for the white entity since the London requests during a large part of the contacts did not drop below € 140M. Finally closed at 100 but around 30 million euros in variables were stipulated. Some very easy to achieve: titles, number of games played, Champions League qualification … and others more complex. For example, for Hazard to get the Ballon d'Or playing for Real Madrid.

Chelsea CEO Marina Granovskaia, She is reputed to be a very consistent person but also a tough negotiator. It does not give up easily. For this reason, the Stamford Bridge club finally agreed to lower Hazard's price. Partly in a gesture of gratitude to the footballer, eager to wear white, but they reserved a small victory later. And it is that, as pointed out from England, Marina Granovskaia kept an ace up her sleeve and managed to set a series of conditions in the transfer of the Belgian attacker by Real Madrid, very beneficial for the English entity. Which would increase, in a generous way, the € 100M in principle paid.

One of them was that Chelsea would pocket a high bonus if Real Madrid managed to win the League title. A figure close to 15 million euros is being considered. Real Madrid and Chelsea agreed on some extra bonuses to be paid by the Madrid club, with a cap of just over 30 million euros. Some were very feasible to be achieved in the short term, as a future victory for the Spanish league or qualification for the Champions League, which Real Madrid will now have to pay for. These bonuses would make the transfer of Hazard more expensive from the record of the € 101m paid to Tottenham in 2013 by Gareth Bale.
