The ‘little hand’ of Everton to Brighton puts Leicester in descent

MADRID, 8 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Matchday 35 of the Premier League had a heart-stopping end this Monday with three games of great weight in the red zone of the table, with a victory for Everton against the ‘revulsive’ Brighton that allows the ‘Toffees’ to get out of relegation, to which a Leicester City who lost at Fulham’s home enters, while Southampton is already one step away from mathematical relegation after losing in Nottingham.

Brighton-Everton (1-5) was quite a surprise. After 35 minutes, Everton, who escaped the red zone with this victory, won 0-3 at Falmer Stadium, which is being one of the most complicated fiefdoms in this Premier League. And, far from the comeback, Brighton this time got a painful ‘hand’ against.

With braces from Abdoulaye Doucouré and Dwight McNeil, plus an own goal from Jason Steele, Sean Dyche’s Everton won 3 gold points that take them, with 3 games to go, out of the relegation zone, albeit with only 2 points of margin.

Two points over a Leicester City team that lost at Fulham’s home 5-3. Exchange of positions from which Leicester lost, who went down 4-0 and ended up ‘make up’ their defeat at Craven Cottage with goals at the end of the clash from James Maddison and Harvey Barnes. Whoever was champion of the Premier in 2016 is on the ropes.

In a direct duel for salvation, Nottingham Forest beat bottom club Southampton 4-3 in a game that had everything; 7 goals, plus another disallowed and also a discount penalty. Forest had control of the game but went, in addition, from an annulled 5-2 to a final 4-3.

With this result, Southampton remains bottom and already almost doomed to relegation, as they have salvation at 8 points. For their part, Forest is now 16th with 33 points, 9 more than their rival tonight after winning that ‘ end’ passed through water.
