The Royal Spanish Tennis Federation (RFET) The MAPFRE Valor Tennis League has been launched for players from the Top-100 of the ATP men's world ranking. This tour will include 4 tournaments like the rest of the categories that make up the new MAPFRE Tennis League (men's, women's and chair tennis), in which it will be the official return of tennis to the competition in Spain.
The first tournament will be played at UP Pàdel & Tennis Cornelllà-BCN (July 15-19), in the Barcelona town of Cornellà de Llobregat. The schedule will continue at the JC Ferrero – Equelite Sport Academy (July 22-26) in Villena (Alicante), at the Ferrer Tennis Academy (July 29-August 2) in La Nucía (Alicante) and at the Real Club Recreativo Tenis Huelva ( 5-9 August).
Each tournament of the Liga MAPFRE Valor de Tenis will have a financial endowment of € 12,400 and will have a final table of 24 players plus a maximum preliminary phase of 48. Registration for all tests is now open and is exclusively online on the website of the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation (RFET).
The objective of the MAPRE Tennis League organized by the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation (RFET) is to resume the competitive activity of Spanish players, after the stoppage of international competition caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The four tours that make up the MAPFRE Tennis League will mean the official return of tennis to competition in Spain, since the feminine and masculine tournaments “Valor” will score in the national ranking. The wheelchair tournaments have also been extended to the top 6 national players.
