The Liberty Race for inclusion will be held again in the streets of Madrid on May 29

MADRID, 24 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The XIII edition of the Liberty Race for inclusion, organized by Liberty Seguros, will be held again in person after two years in which the pandemic forced it to be held in virtual format and will once again fill the streets of Madrid on May 29 .

The race will take place under the slogan ‘#MovedbyValues’ (‘Moved by Values’) and will seek, as usual, to promote inclusion and give visibility to disability. The participants, who will start and finish on Calle Goya, in front of the WiZink Center, will travel 10 kilometers between Calle Goya through some of the most emblematic places in the city, which this year also holds the title of World Capital of Sport, such as the Puerta de Alcalá, Cibeles, Plaza de Colón or the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

In addition, the little ones and people with different degrees of disability will be able to participate in adapted races and all those who do not reside in Madrid, but who want to join the initiative, will also be able to do so in a virtual format from anywhere in the
National territory.

Both for those who participate in face-to-face format and for those who do so virtually, the insurer has already opened the registration process through the website ‘carreraliberty.es’. The cost to run it in person will be 8 euros until March 31 and 10 between April 1 and 25, of which 3 will be donated to the Team
Liberty of Young Paralympic Promises in Athletics.

The euro that costs children’s registration will also go entirely to this project, while although virtual registrations are free, there is the option of donating an amount to this team.

“We are particularly excited to announce that this year we will walk the streets of Madrid together again in the year in which this city is the World Capital of Sport. It is an unavoidable event to insist on the need to fully integrate people with disabilities and celebrate that sport is, once again, a vehicle to unite and vindicate important causes”, underlined Juan Miguel Estallo, CEO of Liberty in the European market.

The manager stressed that the company works by “always putting people first and trying to ensure that our employees, clients and partners” can help them “in the great objective of guaranteeing a fairer, more sustainable society”. We hope that many runners dare to put on their shoes and also join this great challenge”, he wished.
