The LaLiga Promises Santander International Tournament returns from March 25 to 27 in Gran Canaria

MADRID, 15 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The 25th edition of the LaLiga Promises Santander International Tournament, organized by LaLiga in collaboration with the José Ramón de la Morena Foundation, will be held on March 25, 26 and 27 at the Maspalomas Sports City, in Gran Canaria, after being postponed due to the pandemic, according to the employer’s association in a statement this Tuesday.

The LaLiga teams, in the under-12 category, will face great international teams such as Liverpool, Juventus, Benfica and Borussia Dortmund. Thus, the groups will be the following: FC Barcelona, ​​Benfica, Celta and Betis (Group A); Villarreal, Borussia Dortmund and Atlético de Madrid (Group B); Real Madrid, Liverpool and CD Tenerife (Group C); Juventus, Valencia, UD Las Palmas and Sevilla (Group D).

The matches will begin to be played on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 at 10:00 a.m. (island time), with the semifinals on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. (island time) and the final, the same day at 5:00 p.m. (island time).

The tournament can be followed live on LaLigaSportsTV, LaLigaTV Bar, the LaLiga YouTube channel, on the official LaLiga profile on Facebook and on the Chinese platform Weibo. In addition, all the matches will be broadcast live on the national Gol network. Likewise, through the international channel of LaLiga TV, all international broadcasters will be able to broadcast it in their countries.

In this way, and after the break last year and the postponement last Christmas due to the global health situation caused by the pandemic, this international tournament returns, which will be hosted by the town of Maspalomas in Gran Canaria. In the last international edition of this tournament, Real Madrid won the championship in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi.

Prevention measures against Covid-19 will be followed and capacity will be limited, regulating the number of fans in the facilities at all times. This XXV edition of the tournament is sponsored by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Turismo de Gran Canaria and the Maspalomas Town Hall.
