“The Koeman thing with Riqui Puig, an absolute disappointment”

Víctor Font, a candidate for the presidency of Barça and one of the three promoters of the vote of no confidence against Josep Maria Bartomeu, attacked in the program El Curubito Ronald Koeman's decision to advise Riqui Puig to leave on loan. Font described it as “absolute disappointment” because he already saw Riqui Puig playing two years ago.

It is not the first time that Font shows distrust with Koeman. Recently, he guaranteed that, if he wins the election, Koeman would not be his coach in the 2021-22 season even if he won the treble. Then he qualified his statements and left him in the hands of Xavi as responsible for the entire sports area of ​​the club.

Regarding the motion, Font showed his confidence in the validity of the signatures and confirmed that he will not go with Laporta: “The end does not justify the means and we will not put the project at risk by trying to win an election. We do not want to make alliances.”
