The Judge sets 24-F for the precautionary measures for LaLiga Impulso

The Court of First Instance No. 15 of Madrid has already set a date for the first confrontation between Real Madrid, Barcelona and Athletic against LaLiga for the Impulse Project. The Judge, who dismissed the very precautionary measures to stop the Tebas agreement with CVC without listening to the other party, He has set the sight for the precautionary measures on February 24.

It will be at the end of February and already with LaLiga Impulso constituted when three of the most important Spanish clubs and the employer’s association chaired by Teba will face each otheryes Tomorrow, February 1, the constitution of the LaLiga Group holding will be a reality, in which the employers’ association will transfer the bulk of its activity to the investment fund. In said holding, the investment fund will have a participation of 8% during the next 50 years. In exchange, CVC will inject 1,994 million euros into LaLiga. The first payment of 400 million euros arrived on January 20 to the coffers of the clubs and tomorrow, when the holding company is established, they will receive another 298 million euros.

This money will be controlled from the bosses. Of the total received by each club, 70% must be used to improve infrastructure and brand development; 15% to debt and another 15% for signings. Although these percentages could vary in some justified cases, as long as it is approved by the Delegate Commission of LaLiga. That is to say, the clubs will only be able to use 15% of that money to sign or salaries of soccer players.

This project was approved by a large majority in the LaLiga Assembly (37 votes in favour, one abstention and four against). Real Madrid, Barcelona and Athletic were the clubs that opposed this LaLiga project with CVC, considering it not advantageous and detrimental to their interests. So much so that they took this vote to court. In addition, Madrid, Barcelona and Athletic presented an alternative plan that ensured that it would provide the same amount of money to the clubs and that it would be paid back in 25 years. Despite this proposal, Tebas received the necessary support and LaLiga Impulso went ahead. A project that must be defended on February 24 in the courts of Gran Vía.
