The Italian Federation will not sanction Juve, Milan and Inter for the Super League

Gabriele gravina, president of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), assured this Wednesday that his body does not plan to sanction Juventus, Inter and Milan for trying to launch together with nine other European clubs the Super league, a tournament that did not comply with FIFA or UEFA rules.

“No process and no sanction. We are not going to sanction an idea, “Gravina said in statements published by the Italian media, and expressed his satisfaction at the resignation of Juventus, Inter and Milan to participate in this new competition.

“We will sanction through sports justice only in the case in which they are specified initiatives that violate the rules. In any case, this competition will not see the light, “he added.

Announced last Sunday in a statement published at midnight, the Super League was deflated as of Tuesday, with the resignation of the six participating English clubs, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal.

After his abandonment, this Wednesday also el Inter, the Milan and the Atletico Madrid they announced their resignation. The Juventus he acknowledged, for his part, that in this context the conditions to move forward no longer exist. “This is an alarm that should make us reflect on the fact that something is not working.
