The IOC increases its female representation after the new member elections

MADRID, 17 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced this Tuesday during its 141st Session that it is holding in Mumbai (India) eight new members, four women and four men, thus increasing the proportion of women in the organization to 41.1 percent. .

The institution chaired by the German Thomas Bach, which thus raises the number of its members to 107, stated that with this parity in its election it wants to “lead by example and increase female representation in government structures.”
