The Infanta Margarita, aunt of Felipe VI, at the presentation of the Kings at the Royal Palace

Hall of Columns of the Royal Palace full of audience. The Kings Philip VI y Joy have chaired this February 28 the launch of the Digital Portal of Hispanic History, of the Royal Academy of History. For this presentation, the academy has had the assistance of Bourbon Daisyaunt of the monarch.

The Duchess of Soria, sister of the emeritus king, has arrived at the ceremony together with Ana of Bourbon two Sicilies. The Duques de Soria Foundation promotes Hispanicism in the world, hence its presence at the event. In addition, we have attended the reunion of King Felipe with Carmen Iglesias, Countess of Gisbert, historian, professor of History, director of the institution and the one who was the tutor of the monarch when she was young. They profess mutual admiration and affection.

The event was attended by academics, ambassadors, friends of the academy, benefactors and representatives and students of two Madrid schools, the CEIP Carmen Iglesias de Tres Cantos; and the IES Lope de Vega, where the director of the Academy of History studied.

With this website, Spain becomes the first country in the world to have its history georeferenced by showing the geolocations of events and historical figures glossed with 150,000 geographical references. “We are pioneers,” Iglesias stressed. In the words of the King, “Hispanic history is unique in the world.”
