The II International Camp ‘LaLiga Values to Win’ concludes, with 24 young Salvadorans

MADRID, 15 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The LaLiga Foundation and the National Sports Institute of El Salvador (INDES) have concluded the second edition of the ‘LaLiga Values to Win’ International Camp, in which 24 young Salvadorans have participated.

Said campus, run by professionals from the LaLiga Foundation, has been developed at the José Caballero de Alcobendas Sports Complex (Madrid). It is a top-level socio-sports programme, in which boys and girls enjoy football while they train, learn, play and train, also combining theoretical and practical football classes with other educational workshops on social attitudes, prevention of injuries, healthy habits, as well as other leisure activities and tourist visits.

All activities are carried out under the methodological proposal developed by the LaLiga Foundation ‘Values to Win’.
As the main novelty of the program, this new edition of the Campus has had the presence of eight girls, four of them from the El Refugio team, from Ahuachapán, which was crowned champion of the I Alevines Cup; and another four, from the LaLiga, Values and Opportunity programme, as a reward for their good performance, as well as their exemplary behavior both on and off the pitch.

A milestone of equality and tolerance for the project, which is part of the week of commemoration of International Women’s Day.

Among the different activities carried out, and from a technical, social and sports field of action, different experiences have been carried out, such as the Match Experience, consisting of playing football matches against LaLiga clubs. On this occasion, one of mixed teams and another of women’s soccer have been played against various teams from the lower categories of Rayo Vallecano.

Another of the notable actions of the week was an institutional meeting in which Clemente Villaverde, president of the LaLiga Foundation, and Olga de la Fuente, director of this same entity, participated, who handed over Álvaro Argueta, head of the Opportunity department of the National Institute of Sports of El Salvador, a recognition for the work that his institution and the LaLiga, Values and Opportunity program are doing, becoming a benchmark in sports for development in the Ibero-American region.

“This experience is really significant and strategic for the objectives of the program, since it generates extraordinary revitalization in the 155 schools of the project and improves participation in the activities planned for this year,” said Álvaro Argueta.

For her part, Olga de la Fuente encouraged the boys and girls participating in this Campus to continue having fun in a respectful and educational way, wishing them that this experience will help them fulfill their dreams, and pursue the goals they set with effort.

Clemente Villaverde highlighted the high level of play developed by the boys and girls of the Campus, the result of the great commitment that the organizing entities are making. Likewise, he valued the importance of this type of program, which “is a great opportunity to contribute to the development and transformation of youth through soccer.”

The illusion, the joy of the participating boys and girls, as well as values such as respect, teamwork, tolerance and equality, have been the true protagonists of this Campus, whose next edition will take place in the last quarter of 2023, framed within the LaLiga, Values and Opportunity program.

Through this project, more than 1,300 training courses have already been given to 313 instructors, and there are 155 socio-sports schools in operation, in which nearly 15,000 Salvadoran boys, girls and young people participate.
