The Spanish power forward Santi Aldama was the protagonist this Thursday in the victory of the Memphis Grizzlies against the Sacramento Kings at the FedEx Forum (115-110), a victory that places the Tennessee team in second position in the Western Conference.
The Gran Canarian contributed 15 points and 10 rebounds from the bench to the victory of the Grizzlies, who regained victory after losing to the Dallas Mavericks last Tuesday. Aldama achieved his seventh double-double of the season against the Kings in the 29 minutes he was on the FedEx Forum hardwood, in which his team achieved a plus/minus of +23 points.
Aldama was especially brilliant from the three-point line, where he achieved 100% effectiveness on the three shots he attempted. In addition, he closed a great shooting card with a total of six of eight in field goals, and was Memphis’ top rebounder in the game. On a defensive level, the Spanish international had three steals. He was also outstanding in making decisions with zero losses.
With the victory, led by the bench – they contributed 60 of the team’s 115 points -, Memphis is placed in second position in the Western Conference with a balance of 15 wins and 8 losses, a record only surpassed by the Oklahoma City Thunders (17-5). The Tennessee team’s next game will be at the TD Garden in Boston against the Celtics this Saturday.
