The Government also positions itself against the Super League

The Government of Spain broke his silence and was against the creation of the Super League promoted by European clubs, among which are Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid, putting themselves in the line of LaLiga and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

As explained in a statement issued by the Government itself, “José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, Minister of Culture and Sports, has held meetings and conversations throughout the day with the most representative parts of Spanish and continental football. Specifically, he has spoken with the presidents of UEFA, RFEF, La Liga de Fútbol Profesional, as well as with the presidents of Barça, Madrid and Atlético ”.

The Government of Spain, through José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, “It has defended before its interlocutors that it must return to the path of dialogue and agreement in the decision-making and organizational spheres to which these same clubs belong to achieve an agreed solution that is convenient for football and sport, both to national and international organizations and to teams, professionals and fans in general ”.

The same communiqué recalls that “the sportsmanship must be evident through the search for a broad agreement”, hoping that the talks are resumed and that “they bear fruit with an agreement that is beneficial to all”.
