BARCELONA, 26 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The still FC Barcelona goalkeeper Arnau Tenas has confirmed that he will leave the Blaugrana club this summer at the end of the contract on June 30 and not having reached an agreement for its renewal.
“It has come out that Barça has not carried out the renewal. I am calm, it is true and I can confirm it,” said the Spanish Under-21 international goalkeeper at a press conference with the national team.
Tenas, just turned 22, came to train in the dynamics of the first team but without making his debut. However, he was key in this last good campaign for the Barça Atlètic subsidiary and aimed to have a future in the first team.
“Now my team is the national team and I’m focused on this. I’m not trying to make a good European for myself, but a good European for my team,” added the man from Vic.
On whether the non-renewal has caught him by surprise, he assured that he was not very attentive to social networks. “A couple of friends have told me about it. It’s something secondary, I’m focused on keeping a clean sheet for the team, I’ll try to maintain the level,” he concluded.
