The goal is owned by the subsidiary

There are many indications that mark the extreme situation that FC Barcelona is experiencing, in a turbulent season at a sporting and economic level. One of them is to have a totally unbalanced squad on all lines. So much so that in attack he has no forward reference to date, being Luuk de Jong the only alternative. And the Dutchman has more than shown that he has no level to play for Barcelona. In fact, this Saturday it was the forward of the subsidiary, Ferran Jutglà, who snatched the ownership. And this kid, who a year ago played for Espanyol’s Juvenil, couldn’t start better because he had a goal disallowed in the first minute, with the help of the VAR, and shortly after he scored an extraordinary goal with a header from a corner kick, as if he wanted to show Luuk that even in his specialty he is capable of improving him.

Jutglà’s goal marks a dangerous trend in Barcelona’s last games: only the reserve team’s players are able to see the goal. Last weekend it was Nico and Abde, who made their debut in the scorer’s box, and now against Elche, Jutglà and Gavi have done the same. Nico gave the Catalans all three points with his second target of the campaign (he already scored his first goal against Osasuna).

Special mention deserves the goal that the young Sevillian has pulled out of his hat: a prodigy of technique, power and efficiency. Seeing a 17-year-old boy be able to sign a work of art like this invites us to think that we are dealing with a player who is going to mark an era. Koeman knew it, Luis Enrique also knows it and Xavi is enjoying it in a big way.

To this day, the goal is owned by young people, since the injury of Memphis Depay, the top scorer with eight goals, has left a void in this regard. On one side, This youthful impudence is very positive because it opens up a hopeful future for a team that is in the UCI, but also negative, because it reflects the poor quality of the current staff, which today depends on a handful of youngsters to save the furniture.
