Overseas teams, who cross the ocean year after year to play the Cup on French territory, will be able to compete in the competition, but with special conditions. There will only be three teams from Overseas that will play on French soil, and that they will come out of a double confrontation between clubs from French Guiana and Guadeloupe and another between a team from Reunion and Mayotte. They will enter the fray from the thirty-second, that is, they could make history in case of reaching the eighth, needing two victories to do so.

Given the impossibility of maintaining the usual format, the restructuring of the Coupe de France will cause 17 amateur teams and 15 professionals to contest 1/16 of the competition. The 20 teams from Ligue 1 will make an appearance in the 30s and the round will be played from February, with the official dates still to be confirmed.
