The fourth charity auction of the AFE Foundation raises more than 5,000 euros to protect mental health

The fourth edition of the charity auction organized by the AFE Foundation raised a total of 5,119 euros that will be donated to the Oviedo Mental Health Association (SAMO), once the deadline set to bid on different items donated by athletes and relevant figures from other countries has expired. areas, according to a statement issued this Thursday.

The AFE Foundation will donate the more than 5,000 euros raised in the fourth edition of this solidarity initiative to the Oviedo Mental Health Association (SAMO), a non-profit organization made up of people with mental illness and/or disabilities. The entity's mission is “to improve the quality of life, both physically, mentally and socially, of these people through educational, cultural, sports, leisure and free time activities.”

The godfather of this fourth edition of the AFE Foundation's charity auction was Víctor Camarasa, a Real Oviedo footballer, who was forced to temporarily stay away from the playing fields to take care of his mental health. A problem that he made public, “making visible and normalizing” an issue that “affects thousands of people every day.”

The most valued items in this fourth charity auction were a shirt by Englishman Jude Bellingham signed by the Real Madrid team (675 euros), a signed shirt by tennis player Rafa Nadal (350 euros); and a signed t-shirt and racket from the paddle tennis player Ale Salazar (330 euros).

In addition, many other athletes and celebrities donated items, such as footballers Víctor Camarasa, Vinícius Júnior, Álvaro Morata, Marcos Llorente, Borja Iglesias, Kirian Rodríguez, Santi Cazorla and Amanda Sampedro; former players Iker Casillas, Joaquín Sánchez, Bebeto and Mauro Silva; the handball player Gonzalo Pérez de Vargas; the padel players Ale Galán, Paquito Navarro and Marta Ortega; the pilot Fabio Quartararo; the golfer José María Olazábal; the 'streamer' Adri Contreras; and chef Dani García.
