The Foundation and UNAOC join forces for joint projects

The Atlético de Madrid Foundation is involved in various projects with different organizations and today has signed a pact with the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) to promote different joint initiatives with which to promote the values ​​that represent both institutions.

ANDhe pact has been signed by the president of the rojiblanco club, Enrique Cerezo, on behalf of the Foundation, and Migue Ángel Moratinos, high representative of UNAOC. With this they intend to make a series of joint proposals that will start with the ‘One Humanity’ campaign. It is intended to fight current problems, such as racial discrimination, xenophobia and culturally based conflicts, placing value on respect.

Both senior officials showed their satisfaction with the heading of this agreement that allows to spread the values ​​of the foundation of the rojiblanco group throughout the world. Cerezo assured that “it is a pride for our Foundation that the UN gives us the opportunity to collaborate with the Alliance of Civilizations in projects and initiatives that promote the fundamental values ​​that are set forth in our mission and foundational purposes ”. For his part, Moratinos stated that “It is a great satisfaction to see that Atlético de Madrid, one of the most important football clubs in the world, joins the ‘One Humanity’ initiative. The great soccer teams, with millions of followers throughout the planet, have the capacity to transmit with force that message of unity and respect that we promote, and the athletic family will surely become a great ambassador for this project. ”
