The FC Barcelona Foundation and DIPLOCAT have jointly scheduled a international conference on the role of sport as a tool for social inclusionwhich will take place at the Auditori 1899 of FC Barcelona next Thursday, March 24thfrom 9.30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Among the distinguished guests will be Lilian Thuramformer player of Barça and creator of the Lilian Thuram Foundation for Education against Racismand the athlete Alex Rocaambassador of the FC Barcelona Foundation and an example of self-improvement through sport. Institutional representatives will also take part (European Commission, General Secretariat for Sport) and of the FC Barcelona Foundation and athletes and sports technicians for development who will explain their personal experiences. The conference will have a face-to-face format and there will be translation into Catalan, English and French.
DIPLOCAT is a public-private consortium that, since 2012, has been working to make Catalonia’s values and assets known among international public opinion, giving the country a voice in major global debates and establishing bonds of trust with citizens and the institutions of other countries. The FC Barcelona is one of the 38 members that are part of DIPLOCAT.
